Like a treasure hunt, I had to search for the right lockbox in the pitch dark. And the icy driveway added some extra excitement to my stay.

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful cottage. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely, and the hot tub in the evenings was a perfect way to relax. The cottage had plenty of space for all of us, and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The little stream and mini waterfall beside the cottage were charming, and it was a treat to see the horses in the neighboring field. The hot tub and the games room with the fireplace were a hit with both the adults and children. The kitchen/dining room was massive and well-equipped. We also enjoyed the pool table and the arcade game. the cottage had everything we needed and more for a wonderful getaway.

It would have been nice if there were grab bars in the bathrooms to ensure extra safety for seniors.

I absolutely adored the cozy and charming atmosphere of the Thatched Cottage. The decor was simply delightful, with beautiful floral patterns and antique furniture that made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The hotel's general areas were also excellent, with spacious and well-appointed lounges and dining rooms that were perfect for relaxing and socializing with other guests. As a senior woman, I greatly appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with wide doorways and ramps that made it easy for me to get around without any trouble.

The one thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people is a dedicated staff member to assist with any special needs or concerns. While the children working there were polite and helpful, having someone specifically trained to cater to the needs of older guests would have added an extra level of comfort and reassurance.

Just had an amazing weekend getaway at Thatched Cottage in a beautiful location. the cottage itself was absolutely stunning, equipped with everything you could ever need and more. We loved the little stream and mini waterfall running alongside it, as well as the horses in the neighboring field. the hot tub was a big hit, and we had loads of fun playing pool and the arcade game. the massive kitchen/dining room and comfortable beds were also highlights.
